Khan Chooses Crawford Over Brook

The prospect of fighting Kell Brook at Wembley Stadium seems to not be enough for Kell Brook, as he will take the reported $5 million offer to face Terence Crawford.

Per a report from Boxing Scene, Khan will be the b-side of a April 20th showdown with the WBO welterweight champion at Madison Square Garden.

While the fight will not be mad official until later this month, Khan has reportedly made his promoter Eddie Hearn aware of his choice,as Crawford backed out of a fight against former champion Luis Collazo due to public backlash of giving the 37-year old a title shot.

Khan and Brook were eyed as the backup fight for April 13th at Wembley Stadium if Anthony Joshua’s next defense was moved to Madison Square Garden against Jarrell Miller.

This will be Crawford’s second defense of the WBO title, with his first being a 12th round TKO of Jose Benavidez Jr in Crawford’s hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
