Khan To Face MMA Fighter In Saudi Arabia

While he will not be returning to competitive boxing for a while, Amir Khan will be stepping inside the ring again soon. He is expected to fight an unnamed MMA fighter on July 27th in Saudi Arabia.

The boxing bout would be an India v. Pakistan clash and Khan (33-5) would earn up to £7 million. It is unlikely judges will be involved making this a true exhibition bout. Khan is taking this fight following Floyd Mayweather’s bout with Tenshin Nasakawa back in December for Rizin.

Khan last fought in April, losing to Terence Crawford for the WBO Welterweight Title via TKO. He was hit below the belt and could not continue, ending the fight in round six. Before then he was on a two-fight win streak.
