King Mo Scores Decision Win in Ireland

Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal took control of his Bellator 169 main event bout with Satoshi Ishii from the start and never surrendered it, earning a unanimous decision win in Ireland.

While King Mo was the smaller of the two individuals, Ishii did not come out swinging. King Mo, however, was able to land some significant shots, as well as a few takedowns, during the opening round. Ishii threw more punches in round two, but many of them missed the mark. King Mo, meanwhile, continued his flurry of punches, and kept Ishii on the ground with takedowns and holds. King Mo easily cruised his way to victory.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, James Gallagher — teammate of UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor — kept his undefeated streak alive with a victory over Anthony Taylor. After an even first round, Gallagher got ahead in round two with more significant strikes — namely leg kicks — and he was able to score a choke in the third, getting the submission victory.
