Korean Zombie KO's Renato Moicano at UFC Greenville

Heading into the night, it was unknown which Chan Sung Jung would show up. It took less than a minute for fans inside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina to find out. “The Korean Zombie” defeated Renato Moicano via TKO in round one.

The underdog heading into the fight, Jung (15-5) was coming off of a brutal knockout loss to Yair Rodriguez back in November. With less than a second remaining in the fight, an elbow caught the face of Jung, knocking him unconscious. Tonight, Jung decided to return the favor to his latest opponent.

Jung hit a brutal right to the face of Moicano (13-3-1), knocking him to the canvas. He then repeatedly struck the head of Moicano, attempting to put him in a sleeper at the same time. Eventually, another round of blows to the head were enough to stop the contest, 58 seconds into the round.

Moicano has now lost two in a row. After the knockout, it appears that “The Korean Zombie” has returned back to being a contender.

In the co-main event of UFC Greenville, Randy Brown defeated Bryan Barderena via TKO in the third round. The 28-year-old is now 11-3 in his career. In total, seven fights ended via decision.
