Kyle Daukaus, Roman Dolidze Will Not Fight At UFC Vegas 42

Kyle Daukaus was supposed to share the octagon with Kevin Holland at UFC Vegas 42, but Daukaus suffered an injury and was forced out.

Roman Dolidze replaced Daukaus, but just five days before the fight, he tested positive for Covid-19. That fight has been scratched altogether.

Julian Marquez replaces the Roman Dolidze and will fight with Kyle at a February 19 UFC event.

Daukaus already held three battles.

He made his UFC debut against Brandon Allen and suffered a unanimous decision loss. He earned his first-ever UFC victory in his second bout, but suffered a loss against Phil Hawes after that.

His last appearance was against Kevin Holland’s will. He forced Holland to tap, but before the submission attempt, they accidentally clashed their heads. After watching replays several times, the referee decided to end up this bout as no contest.

Marquez is a fantastic finisher.

He held four fights and earned victories in three of them. The only loss he has is with a split decision against Italian fighter Alessio Di Chirico.

In Dana White Contender Series, he defeated Hawes.

He has a 100% finishing rate and he earned nine knockouts and three submission victories.
