Lead Cast In Shields Bio-Pic
Undisputed women’s middleweight champion Claressa Shields will have her life story turned into a major motion picture.
The film, Flint Strong, will be produced by Universal Pictures, directed by DP of the hit movie Black Panther Rachel Morrison, and written by Moonlight director Barry Jenkins.
The film also has it’s star, as Ryan Destiny, who was featured on FOX’s drama STAR will play the two-time Olympic gold medalist.
The film will focus on Shields’ upbringing in Flint, Michigan and her growth from an 11-year-old hanging out in Jason Crutchfield’s gym to becoming an Olympic gold medalist and world champion.
