Leben Suing WBKFF Over Missing Pay

While the founder of the World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation prepares for a prison bid, Chris Leben is preparing to sue the now-closed organization for $90,000

Leben, former UFC star, claimed in a legal filing on Monday that the WBKFF paid only 10% of his $100,000 purse for a fight in November of 2018 against fellow ex-UFC star Phil Baroni.

Leben is not the only one to be stiffed out of an agreed upon sum, as Tomasz Stankiewicz, the WBKFF founder was sentenced to one year in prison, last week following a guilty plea for wire fraud in Illinois.

Many think that Stankiewicz never intended to pay Leben, or the other fighters on this card, as some fighters were paid partially or not at all.

Leben has gone on to sign with the BKFC, who have signed former world champion Paulie Malignaggi and former UFC featherweight Artem Lobov.
