Lee Taps To dos Anjos In Rochester
Kevin Lee’s road to title contention would hit another setback on Saturday, as he would fall in his welterweight debut at UFC Rochester.
Lee would headline the card from the Blue Cross Arena from Rochester, New York, taking on UFC veteran Rafael dos Anjos.
While the Detroit native would send dos Anjos to the canvas in the opening round, dos Anjos would prey upon Lee’s aggression and stop Lee in the fourth with a submission.
With the win on Saturday night, dos Anjos earned his first win in three fights.

“I knew he was going to be strong in the first round and he pushed through the third and I was just using my experience,” dos Anjos said. “[Coach] Jason Parillo told me to do a little adjustment in the fourth, make a huge difference. Stick to my jab, don’t load too much my punches, I started letting go more. I was able to work my takedowns. I needed that victory.”
With the loss, Lee dropped his third of his last four appearances in the Octagon, two of them coming from his time at lightweight.
