Lennox Lewis Hopes For An Undisputed Deal Between Oleksandr Usyk And Tyson Fury
Lennox Lewis is one of the greatest athletes to have ever stepped foot in the boxing ring. As he is the last man to become an undisputed heavyweight, it feels like he wants company in this category.
The 57-year-old has said that he wants Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury to reach an agreement.
Usyk got the better of Joshua for the second time in his career at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Now, there is talk about the duo giving the fans an undisputed heavyweight championship fight.
“Hey, Tyson Fury, and Oleksandr Usyk, can we finally give the fans an undisputed heavyweight championship fight?” Lewis said.
“Nineteen years is a long time. The fans deserve it. Let’s get it started,”
Regardless of whether the match becomes official or not, it won’t be taking place in December this year. Boxing author Mark Kriegel suggests that this encounter will take place in February next year.
The location of the match is yet to be decided. There are possible talks about Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE being the likely destinations.
However, the organization will ensure that Saudi Arabia is not in the options as the most recent fight took place there.
