Leo Dominates Tabanao In Las Vegas
Angelo Leo moved one step closer to becoming a contender at 122 pounds after an impressive outing in Las Vegas.
Leo pitched a shutout against Filipino fighter Neil John Tabanao in the main event of a ShoBox: The New Generation card from Las Vegas. Leo won the fight by unanimous decision and winning all 10 rounds on all three official scorecards (100-89, 100-90, 100-90).
The Mayweather Promotions prospect spent the majority of the first half of the fight attacking the body of Tabanao. Leo then had to face some adversity midway through the fight after Tabanao accidentally headbutted him, but Leo pushed on and still won the later rounds almost effortlessly. Leo’s record now stands at an impressive 17-0 as a pro.

The co-main event saw Xavier Martinez dominate John Moralde in less than three complete rounds. Martinez asserted himself from the start, hurting Moralde in the first round and dropped him in the third before the referee stopped the contest seconds later. In the opening bout, Andres Cortes survived a knockdown midway through the fight to defeat Jahmal Dyer by unanimous decision and keep his unbeaten record intact.
