Leon Edwards Tells Drake To Bet On Him After ‘Drake Curse’ Hits Kamaru Usman, Jose Aldo

Leon Edwards gave some advice to Drake.

Edwards and Kamaru Usman shared the octagon for a second time for the welterweight title at UFC 278. Usman started out great, but Edwards offered something unexpected in the final round – a knockout.

In this event, famous rapper Drake was on the bad side of the upset. Edwards sent him a message.

“Next time, bet on me and get me one of those Rolexes that you gave Molly (McCann) and Paddy (Pimblett). Send one my way,” Edwards said.

This isn’t the first time Drake lost a sports bet – he’s notorious for his “Drake curse,” which is betting on a team or athlete and then they end up losing.

For UFC 278, Drake also made a huge bet on Jose Aldo, who fought with Merab Dvalishvili. He bet $230,000 valued amount of BTC for Aldo, but Dvalishvili won a lopsided decision.

Before that, Drake — the 35-year-old native of Toronto — had lost a lot of money in several fights including a $275,000 wager on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington at UFC 272 and a $427,000 wager on Justin Gaethje to beat Charles Oliveira at UFC 274.
