Leon Edwards could return to the octagon to defend his welterweight title for the second time on November 11th, 2023, at UFC 295 against Colby Covington.
That is according to Dana White. The bout would serve as a co-main event on the Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic card at Madison Square Garden.

The other event in play was 294 but with the main and co-main confirmed yesterday, 295, looks hopeful.

Edwards became the champion after defeating Kamaru Usman with a brutal high kick in the final round of their second bout.
In their third match, Leon successfully defended his belt with an impressive performance as he won by majority decision.
Meanwhile, Covington has not been in the cage since March 2022 when he emerged victorious over the now-retired Jorge Masvidal.
Covington is the former interim welterweight champion, which is why the bout offers a chance to throw his name back in the spotlight.
