Leon Edwards Waiting For Title Call, Refuses To Fight Jorge Masvidal
Leon Edwards wants something more for his next UFC appearance.
Fans have pushed for a grudge match between Edwards and Jorge Masvidal ever since a backstage incident in 2019 where Masvidal attacked Edwards in the middle of a post-fight interview. But Edwards said it’s not going to happen.
My next fight will be for the world title I don’t want to hear nothing about a guy coming off 2 fight skid and Got ko his last fight

Masvidal was giving an interview after defeating Darren Till.
Masvidal is on a two-fight losing streak — both against Kamaru Usman in the title fight. He said he is willing to fight any top contender to earn his third title fight against whoever the champion will be.
Masvidal and Usman faced each other at UFC 251. The main event of this card was supposed to be a title fight between Usman and Burns, but the latter fighter contracted, and Masvidal showed up six days short notice.
The last time, Edwards fought against was Nate Diaz.
He was dominant for the whole fight, but at the last minute of the fifth round, Diaz landed a huge left cross, which almost finished the fight. Somehow, Edwards survived for one minute and earned another unanimous victory.
Since his last loss, he fought 10 times and won all of them.
