Le’Veon Bell Drops Adrian Peterson In Exhibition Match

In a battle of former NFL running backs, it was Le’Veon Bell who came out on top.

Bell and Adrian Peterson stepped inside of the boxing ring for the first time for their exhibition on the Austin McBroom vs Aneson Gib fight on Saturday. The five-round bout came to an end in the last few moments when Bell dropped Peterson with a right hand.

Peterson got back up, but had wobbly legs, forcing the referee to call off the fight.

“I appreciate everybody’s love and support, for real,” Bell, the former Pittsburgh Steelers star, said after the fight.

“That’s really what kept me going. Honestly, all the hate … that motivates me.”

Prior to the match, Bell emphasized that he plans to have multiple boxing matches.

“This is not just a one-off. This is I guess like my introduction to kind of show what I’ll be doing and how I’ll be going about myself. Just an intro,” he said.
