Lewis Broke Hand At UFC Austin

Derrick Lewis’ big victory at UFC Austin last Sunday, may lead to the UFC heavyweight sitting on the shelf with a broken hand.

The Houston native broke his hand during in the midst of his third-round knockout of Marcin Tybura.

In a video shared by MMA Fighting via Lewis’ Instagram, he told his followers that he suffered a fourth metacarpal fracture, and posted a video of his doctor sticking a needle in the injured area.

Lewis has won seven of his last eight fights, and with the knockout of Tybura earned his third straight fight of the night bonus of $50,000.
