Liam Smith is confident that he can beat Chris Eubank Jr. once again as they lock horns for their rematch on September 2nd, 2023.
Smith secured a spectacular fourth-round TKO to stop Eubank Jr. for the first time in his career.
While the defeat may have shocked some, the manner of the loss was more telling as Eubank’s chin gave way for the first time in his career.
Naturally, there have been question marks over whether Eubank’s weight cut before the fight had an impact.
He was making 157 lbs for a fight with Conor Benn, which was then called off due to the latter’s failed tests for Clomiphene, in what was a career low as Smith stepped in.
Regardless of what the case may have been, Smith was confident of securing a victory in the same fashion.

“Probably not. I feel he would probably be done after this…I’m massively confident it will be the same outcome again as long as the Liam Smith of old turns up,” Smith
Another loss for Eubank will raise question marks over his future moving forward. And with a title shot further away than ever, and a Conor Benn fight looking unlikely, Eubank faces the biggest fight of his career.
