Liam Smith Vs. Chris Eubank Jr. 2 Pre-Fight Presser

Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr. held their pre-fight presser ahead of their fight on September 2nd, 2023.

In the first bout, Smith stopped Eubank with a fourth-round stoppage as the latter was stopped for the first time in his career. In the aftermath, numerous theories were put forward for Eubank’s poor performance. An illegal elbow by Smith was cited as a partial reason when he threw the winning combinations.

Meanwhile, Eubank’s weight cut at a career low of 157 for the Conor Benn fight prior to facing Smith was also mentioned. After all, Smith stepped in after Benn failed two VADA tests for Clomiphene. As for Smith, the boxer has the chance to prove his doubters wrong again and potentially increase the calls on Eubank to retire with another decisive victory.

In chief support, Adam Azim takes on Aram Faniian at super lightweight. Meanwhile, Frazer Clarke faces Dave Allen at heavyweight. Elsewhere on the card, Mikaela Mayer battles Silvia Bortot at junior welterweight. With that being said, here were the key quotes from the headlining fighters.
