Even though Jon Jones had his license revoked, 48 year old Chuck Liddell believes he can knockout the former UFC light heavyweight champion.
Liddell announced that he would be returning to MMA, nearly a decade after his last fight, and told TMZ that this is not a one and done situation.
“I gotta have high goals about my comeback,” Liddell told TMZ.
“I’m not wasting my time getting in shape just to beat up on someone I’ve beat up twice.”
The person he’s talking about is Tito Ortiz, who Liddell claims may be his first opponent under Oscar De La Hoya’s potential Golden Boy MMA promotion.
Jones took to Twitter this week to blast his fellow former light heavyweight champion. “Old Chuck has been calling me out for years! I get it, I hold pretty much every record in the division,” said Jones who was last seen in a now overturned win against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.
“I normally try to respect my elders but if you want it come get it. Id literally fly you out to Albuquerque this weekend.”
