Lightweight Grand Prix Fights Added To ONE 90
When ONE Championship returns to Singapore on February 22nd, two opening round fights of the lightweight grand prix tournament will join the card.
While the Singapore Indoor Stadium card will feature a main event featuring a ONE “Super Series” fight for the vacant ONE atomweight Muay Thai title as ONE’s atomweight kickboxing champion Stamp Fairtex will battle Janet Todd, two grand prix fights will fill out the card.
Amir Khan looks to bounce back from a decision loss to Eduard Folayang in November, as he faces Ariel Sexton, Khan moves down from welterweight.. Sexton has won four of his last five fights, most recently stopping Kota Shimoshi in July via a third round submission.
In the second fight, the only person to defeat Sexton in his last five fights, Ey Ting will face Saygid Guseyn. Ting rode a three fight win streak with wins over Sexton, Nobutatsu Suzuki, and Koji Ando, but would be stopped by Shinya Aoki in October in less than a minute.
Arslanaliev had back-to-back wins in 2018, bouncing back from his first career loss in 2017. The first came with an armbar submission of Testuya Yamada in March a first round TKO of Timofey Nastyukhin in September.
