Linares Moves Up To 140 For Sept Fight
After his loss to Vasyl Lomachenko earlier this year, Jorge Linares looks to pounce back by conquering a fourth weight class.
Linares will make his way to Idaho in September to face a bounce-back opponent in Abner Cotto, after holding the WBC lightweight belt for four years, with six successful defenses against the likes of Anthony Crolla and Luke Campbell, before losing to Lomachenko by TKO in May of this year.

Cotto has had three career losses, all coming when he would face tougher competition. He has been stopped by Omar Figueroa in the first round, a fifth-round knockout by Javier Fortuna, and went the distance in a unanimous decision loss to Francisco Vargas.
