Lipinets Stops Peterson In 10

Sergey Lipinets traveled to Lamont Peterson’s hometown, and stopped him in the tenth round.

In a battle of former world champions, Peterson would have the early advantage with use of his jab and boxing prowess, but would end up trying to trade shots wit the more powerful Lipinets later into the fight.

The battle would edge back and forth until the eighth round when Peterson would be whalloped by Lipinets, finding a way to survive into round nine.

Peterson would make it to the tenth round, but Lipinets would lay it in forcing Peterson to the ground and have the towel thrown in for him.
