Loffler: Canelo-GGG 2 Bigger Than Joshua-Wilder
Last week, two mega fights would become closer to a reality, but Tom Loeffler already knows which of the two is the bigger fight.
Early in the week, Deontay Wilder would agree to terms set by fellow world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, in steps to finalize the first undisputed heavyweight champion in nearly two decades. And while there is no signed contract yet, it sent shockwaves through the boxing community.
A few days later, Gennady Golovkin would finally relent in his negotiations with Canelo Alvarez, and agree to terms for a September 15th rematch in Las Vegas. While on the Sirius-XM Boxing show, Golovkin’s Promoter Tom Loeffler, would say that the middleweight battle is a bigger fight than the Wilder-Joshua cash.
