Logan Paul Fires Back At Canelo Alvarez: ‘F*ck You’
Logan Paul hasn’t taken too kindly to Canelo Alvarez’s recent comments.
Canelo recently spoke to TMZ and expressed his belief that YouTubers such as Logan and Jake Paul are disrespecting the sport of boxing. Logan is scheduled to take on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout on February 20, 2021.
During an appearance on Night Shift Gaming, Logan delivered a strong response to Canelo’s comments (h/t Bad Left Hook).
“Just because we’re attempting to do something and put on a great show and put in the work doesn’t mean you have to sh*t on us.
“I think he’s the guy who got caught using steroids twice. You wanna talk about disrespecting boxing, talk about a guy who didn’t play by the rules. F*ck you. … I think he’s salty ‘cause I get a chance to beat Mayweather and he lost to him, it’s his one loss. He has one loss and it was to Floyd Mayweather. I get the shot that he failed to do.”
Canelo is considered to be boxing’s biggest star outside of Manny Pacquiao. The Mexican bruiser captured the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring Super-Middleweight Titles. He did so by defeating Callum Smith via unanimous decision.
Logan has a pro boxing record of 0-1. That fight came against fellow YouTuber KSI. Logan lost the bout via split decision. He also had an exhibition bout with KSI prior to their pro debuts, which ended in a draw.
Logan’s brother, Jake, is 2-0 as a pro with wins over YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA star Nate Robinson. Paul has been ruffling the feathers of MMA stars Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, Ben Askren, and Michael Bisping in an attempt to get a boxing match with one of them.
