Loma Gives His Take On The Haney Fight – ‘My Score Was 8-4’

Vasiliy Lomachenko has spoken out following his unanimous-decision loss to Devin Haney after having rewatched the fight.

The 36-year-old failed to become undisputed, as the judges scored the bout 16-112, 115-113, and 115-113, despite a large proportion of the boxing community believing otherwise.

Dave Moretti’s scorecard of 116-112 was a source of contention, with Teddy Atlas demanding that the judge justify his scoring in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

And after having reviewed the fight, Lomachenko was adamant that he should have been victorious.

“Look, I saw on the [replay] this fight, my score was 8-4. My score [doesn’t count]. But real score it’s close to 7-5. It’s the same [score as] Max Kellerman. But my scores have different rounds.

“I believe he gives first, second rounds to Haney, but on my score[card], second round was mine, so this is a little bit different. It is what it is,” Loma
