Luis Ortiz Training With Heavyweight Prospect Ahead Of Alexander Flores Fight
Luis Ortiz has brought in a heavyweight prospect to assist with his training camp.
Ortiz is scheduled to collide with Alexander Flores on November 7. The heavyweight collision will headline a PBC on FOX card. It’ll be Ortiz’s first bout since he was knocked out in his rematch with Deontay Wilder back on November 23, 2019.
Heavyweight prospect Jeremiah Milton (1-0, 1 KO) has revealed that he has been added to Ortiz’s camp ahead of the Flores fight (via BoxingScene.com).
“It is a great honor to be in camp with a world-class fighter like Luis Ortiz. Ortiz is essentially an uncrowned world champion and the experience I am gaining from working with him is just adding to my experience that I’ve gained this past year.”
Milton is signed to Victory Sports & Entertainment. Rick Torres, President of the company, said that Milton has all the ingredients for success.
“Jeremiah is going to the next level. In just one year he has sparred three of the best heavyweights in the world in Joe Joyce, Luis Ortiz, and Guido Vianello. I can’t think of another heavyweight in his position getting this much experience so early in his career. Jeremiah is learning how to train like a champion by being around world-class fighters.”
Milton made his pro boxing debut back on August 20. He knocked out Dennis Vance Jr. in the first round. At the age of 26, Milton is hoping that training with some elite boxers and continuing to learn and put his craft on display will lead to at least one major championship.
