Luke Rockhold And Tyron Woodley To Appear As Coaches On MMA Reality Series

Former UFC titleholders Tyron Woodley and Luke Rockhold have gone into business with Russian fight promotion Hardcore FC, and will appear as coaches on their upcoming reality series, which bares a striking resemblance to The Ultimate Fighter.

While the promotion in the past has exclusively held events in Russia since their inception in 2020, the series, titled HFC Fight Show Reality, will shoot in the UAE over the course of six weeks.

CEO of Hardcore Media Anatoly Sulyanov revealed the pair of former champions as the coaches of his series earlier this week on Instagram, and even indicated there are more surprises to come.

It’s official. Former UFC and STRIKEFORCE Champions Luke Rockhold and Tyrone Woodley will head the teams in the first season of HFC FIGHT SHOW REALITY. And yes, it’s not even the beginning of the list of names.. HFC. CHANGING THE FIGHT GAME.

Without much knowledge of the upcoming reality series, it does seem to be the same idea as the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter show. That being said, the contest will provide yet another proving ground for up-and-coming fighters, which is of course extremely positive.

The selection of Woodley and Rockhold for the roles of coaches was an intelligent, and likely calculated, approach. Both competitors have stayed in the public eye since their UFC exits, Tyron Woodley with Boxing and commentating, meanwhile Rockhold appeared in a 2023 BKFC bout and even has a striking match scheduled with Karate Combat next month.
