M-1 to anoint first-ever Medieval champion at M-1 Challenge 63
M-1 is set to make history by anointing its first ever Medieval Champion at M-1 Challenge 63 in St. Petersburg, Russia on December 4. According to Karim Zidan of Bloody Elbow, the fight will feature two of the sport’s best.
According to M-1 Global, undefeated challenger Dmitry Kovrizhin will face Evgeniy Bedenko to crown the promotion’s first ever M-1 Medieval champion.
Bedenko, a Battle of Nations and White Castle winner, recently competed on the M-1 Challenge 56 fight card in Moscow, where he defeated Ivan Vasilev on points following a three-round match.
His opponent, Kovrizhin, compiled a 4-0 record in professional knight fighting that included a win at M-1 Challenge 50 in Orel against Roman Zuev. He finished Roman early in the opening round to earn the dominant win.
