MacDonald Accepts Mousasi’s Challenge
After Gegard Mousasi took the Bellator middleweight crown from Rafael Carvalho on Friday night, he decided to call out a fellow champion in Rory MacDonald.
MacDonald, who won the welterweight title at Bellator 192, took to Twitter and not only congratulated the fellow former UFC challenger turned Bellator Champion, but accept his challenge.
@mousasi_mma congratulations on you dominant victory, @ScottCoker @rich_chou i know you wanted a title defense from me before challenging at middle weight. but myself vs @mousasi_mma is the fight to make right now, so lets make this happen!?

MacDonald and Mousasi both left the UFC for Bellator in 2017, both men making immediate impacts in their first fights in the promotion. MacDonald stopped Paul Daley at Bellator 179, and Mousasi taking a unanimous decision win over Alexander Shlemenko.
