Magny-Martin Added To UFC 250

A short turnaround bout appears to be in Neil Magny’s future. According to MMA Junkie, Magny is set to face off against Anthony Rocco Martin at UFC 250.

The 32-year-old Magny (22-7) is 3-1 in his last four fights. His most recent outing was a unanimous decision win over Li Jingliang at UFC 248 in March. It was a rebound fight two years in the making following a loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in 2018. Magny was on a two-fight win streak before that loss.

One of the main reasons he was out of action for so long was a result of a failed USADA test, which Magny was later cleared of.

This will be Martin’s (17-5) first fight since November when he beat Ramazan Emeev via unanimous decision. Before that fight he lost to Demian Maia last June, which ended a four-fight win streak. After a stint at lightweight that started in 2013, Martin returned to welterweight in 2018.

UFC 250 is set to take place on June 6. The main event is scheduled to be Amanda Nunes defending her UFC Featherweight Title against Felicia Spencer. While it doesn’t have a set location yet, Dana White has stated that the UFC’s APEX Center may end up holding the event.

Here is the full rumored card so far for UFC 250:

  • Amanda Nunes (c) v. Felicia Spencer – UFC Featherweight Title
  • Ian Heinisch v. Gerald Meerschaert
  • Charles Byrd v. Maki Pitolo
  • Neil Magny v. Anthony Rocco Martin
  • Alex Perez v. Jussier Formiga
  • Alonzo Menifield v. Devin Clark
