Mahmoud Charr Vs. Lucas Brown Slated For December Event In Dubai
Both are recently returning from a hiatus.
Mahmoud “Manuel” Charr (33-4) and Lucas Browne (31-3) will be seen in action against each other on December 17 in Dubai. Iconic Promotions Dubai will promote the event.
Browne, 43, has risen to the mark after his loss to former rugby player Paul Gallen in 2021. He has since then gone on to clinch two wins, including a stoppage of Junior Fa in his last fight.
Charr, 38, has not been very active either. He only returned last year after a four-year hiatus. He clinched the notable WBA titles in his prime in 2017 but never defended them once.
In a separate development, Slawa Spomer (16-0) will headline a December 10 show in Heilbronn when he meets Egzon Maliqaj (11-0-1) from Switzerland. The winner walks away with the WBO Global title.
WBC female minimumweight champion Tina Rupprecht (11-0-1) defends the title against Peruvian Rocio Gaspar (12-1).
Also, Croatia’s super middleweight Luka Plantic (3-0) will take on Khoren Gevor (35-10) for the vacant WBC International title on December 19.
Gevor, 42, will be the underdog in this match-up, considering his lack of ring experience lately. Gevor just made a comeback this year but he has been inactive since 2019 before the return.
Plantic is coming off a fourth-round KO win against South Africa’s Ryno Liebenberg (22-10-1).
