Main And Co-Main Event Bouts Announced For UFC Qatar

The UFC is starting October off in a big way, with the announcement that Arman Tsarukyan will square off with Dan Hooker in the headlining bout at UFC Fight Night: Qatar on November 22nd.

Tsarukyan, who is ranked No. 2 in the lightweight division, has not had a fight inside the octagon since April 2024, when he defeated Charles Oliveira by split decision at UFC 300. He was expected to face Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title back in January, but the match was cancelled at the last minute as the challenger suffered a late injury.

Meanwhile, Dan Hooker is currently on a 3 fight win streak with the UFC, recording victories over Claudio Puelles, Jalin Turner, and Mateusz Gamrot. But, “The Hangman” has not stayed overly active, made evident by the facts that he has not fought since August 2024 due to injuries, and he has averaged only a single fight per year after 2022.

In addition to the headlining fight between Tsarukyan and Hooker, Dana While also revealed that the co-main event slot will be fulfilled by former welterweight champion Belal Muhammad taking on Ireland’s Ian Machado Garry.
