Major News On The Ultimate Fighter

The wheels are in motion for the return of The Ultimate Fighter.

The reality television series hasn’t had a new season since 2018. With the emergence of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, many questioned if TUF was dead in the water. White has consistently denied that the show has met its demise and he’s making good on that claim.

During his media scrum on Tuesday, White confirmed that filming for a new season of TUF will get underway soon (h/t MMAJunkie.com).

“We’re going to ‘Fight Island.’ They all have these big plans on how we’re going to announce all this stuff. The Ultimate Fighter is coming back, too. I start filming that when I come back from ‘Fight Island.’ We’ve got the Contender Series. (There are) lots of things going on.”

White didn’t reveal who would serve as coaches on the new season of TUF. He noted that there will be a meeting to discuss the upcoming season later this week. UFC 253 and UFC 254 will be held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. White will be on “Fight Island” for five weeks so filming for TUF will have to wait for a little over one month at least.

We’ll keep you posted as more details on the new season of TUF emerge.
