Malignaggi Reacts To Crawford Beating Spence – ‘ I Can’t Believe What I Watched’

Paulie Malignaggi has reacted to the Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford fight.

Crawford came out on top in a battle for the undisputed welterweight championship by stopping Spence in the ninth round.

The performance included three knockdowns, as Crawford became the first undisputed champion in the welterweight division when it became the four-belt era.

In addition, the win made Crawford undisputed in a second division. Prior to the fight, Malignaggi picked Spence due to the ‘Truth’ being the bigger man.

The ‘Magic Man’ predicted that Spence’s bodywork would prove too much in the end.

“I think Errol’s too big and the natural size is going to be a bit too much for Terence to deal with. We’ll see how it plays out. I think Terence is more versatile and he’s actually my number one guy on the pound for pound list.

“I think Errol wins the fight, but I think Terence is the more complete fighter. But at welterweight, I think Spence will cause a pace and physicality to the fight that the smaller guy will be worn down by,” Malignaggi

And yet, Crawford’s ability to take away the jab by coming out in a southpaw stance negated anything Spence could do. And as the fight was so one-sided, Malignaggi was lost for words.

“He dismantled him. It looked like they were playing two different sports in there. I can’t believe what I watched,” Malignaggi
