Man Charged With Stabbing, Killing Tyson Fury’s Cousin

On Sunday morning, Tyson Fury’s cousin Rico Burton was stabbed in the neck in Manchester. He died at the age of 31.

Fury expressed his disappointment in the British government and hopes that they will tackle knife crime.

But Fury’s cousin was not the only one harmed, a 17-year-old male also suffered from severe injuries. Two men have been arrested after the attack.

“This is becoming ridiculous. Idiots carry knives,” Fury wrote.

“This needs to stop ASAP. [The] UK government needs to bring higher sentencing for knife crime. It’s a pandemic and you don’t know how bad it is until it’s one of your own! Life is very precious and it can be taken away very quick, enjoy every moment.”

On Wednesday, a 21-year-old man has been charged with Burton’s murder. Liam O’Prey will reportedly appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today, police said.

In Britain, if you are caught carrying a knife around for no “good reason,” you can face up to four years in prison.

After both his retirement announcement and his cousin’s death, the WBC heavyweight champion will still be potentially entering the ring again. He has said that he would “annihilate” Oleksandr Usyk to unify four heavyweight titles.
