Manhoef Out Of Bellator 210, Replaced By Salter
Less than a month from Bellator 210, Scott Coker announced that Melvin Manhoef has been pulled from the main event.
Coker announced Thursday that the middleweight contender has been pulled from the headlining fight on November 30th against Chidi Njokuani. The event set to take place at the WinStar World Resort and Casino at Thackerville, Oklahoma will now see John Salter step in for Manhoef against Njokuani.
Salter last competed at Bellator 205 in September, where his seven-fight win streak was snapped by Rafael Lovato via a third-round submission. Prior to the loss, Salter was undefeated in five Bellator appearances, winning by knockout or submission.
Njokuani returns to the Bellator cage for the first time since Bellator 189, where he would take a unanimous decision win over Hisaki Kato, he’s won all but one appearance inside the Bellator cage, looking to develop as a legit title contender after missing the weight limit in a few of his prior fights.
