Per a report from The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger, Spence will return to Pay-Per-View, not for a long-awaited fight against Manny Pacquiao, but against former world champion Danny Garcia.
The fight would be distributed via FOX’s Pay-Per-View platform and go down on January 25th in a location to be determined, but will more than likely land in Spence’s home state of Texas, Los Angeles the site of Spence’s most recent win over Shawn Porter, Las Vegas or New York.
Garcia, who last fought for a title in December of last year in a losing effort against Porter, was in Los Angeles on Saturday for the fight, looking to set himself up as the challenger to the IBF and WBC crowns.
