Manny Pacquiao Buries All Speculations Of Him Fighting Floyd Mayweather Again

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao met in 2015, a time when both fighters were well into their 30s and already arguably saw their prime.

Some fans argue that the fight didn’t live up to its hype as Mayweather cruised to a unanimous victory after the end of twelve rounds. After the critical analysis, many boxing pundits came to the conclusion that it was not the right time for this fight as it should have happened a lot earlier.

Now both fighters are happily retired from the sport with the duo mainly participating in exhibition matches. But they are often questioned if there is any possibility of them going toe-to-toe against each other one more time

Recently, the Pacman has finally given his verdict on this, shutting down any lingering fan hopes of a rematch, when asked about fighting Mayweather Jr again, he said:

“I don’t think that will happen because he’s scared to death to face me in the ring again.

“He’s scared. From the beginning, he’s felt intimidated [by] me and scared to face me.

“It might be possible for an exhibition, but I don’t know yet.”

Mayweather Jr. has proclaimed several times in the media that he no longer has the desire to be involved in a boxing match against any professional pugilist anymore, but he will continue to participate in exhibitions against opponents who can’t realistically hurt him.
