Manny Pacquiao Eyes The 2024 Olympics For A Farewell Gold Medal
Manny Pacquiao will aim to win a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Pacquiao’s last professional fight in a boxing ring occurred all the way back in 2021 when he lost to Yordenis Ugas via a unanimous decision. In the aftermath of that process, Manny decided to walk away from the sport. Thereafter, he has had exhibition bouts, the latest of which will be in 2024 against former kickboxing world champion Buakaw Banchamek.

However, the Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino has now confirmed that Manny aims to box in the games at the age of 45. Pacquiao, though, would have to participate in an Olympic qualifying tournament in order to earn his place.
But if he can manage to get through that and earn a gold medal, he would join the esteemed company of other fighters such as Muhammad Ali, Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard and Joe Frazier to have done such a thing.
