Manny Pacquiao Teases A Fight Announcement

Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has the boxing world buzzing after teasing a big fight announcement.

Pacquiao hasn’t competed since July 2019. He captured the WBA (Super) Welterweight Championship against Keith Thurman. Pacquiao won the bout via split decision.

Having been out of action for nearly two years, many are wondering when “PacMan” will return to the ring. Pacquiao hopped on Twitter and teased a fight announcement.

“Training camp has begun. I’m ready to get back in the ring and to further add to my legacy in the sport of boxing. Big news coming soon.”

Much has been over a potential clash between Pacquiao and Ryan Garcia. “KingRy” has expressed his interest in the matchup but his trainer Eddy Reynoso and the higher-ups at Golden Boy Promotions don’t appear to be on board. A potential showdown with former UFC “champ-champ” Conor McGregor looked to be a possibility but the “Notorious” one was knocked out by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.

It’ll be interesting to see what Pacquiao ultimately does. It’s no secret that while undefeated champions Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. can’t agree on terms to fight each other, both men have let it be known that they want to face Pacquiao. Whether or not the feeling is mutual remains to be seen.
