Manny Pacquiao V. Yordenis Ugas Results And Highlights

Two of the top welterweights in the world will face off for championship glory. Will the legendary veteran in Manny Pacquiao get the job done, or will Yordenis Ugas take down the multi-division champion?

Pacquiao will take on Ugas inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. On the line will be the WBA (Super) Welterweight Title. The fight was supposed to be Pacquiao v. Errol Spence Jr., but the latter had to back out after suffering a retinal tear in his left eye.

Pacquiao (62-7-2) last fought in 2019, beating Keith Thurman in his last fight via split decision for the “super” belt. He has since been stripped of the belt, which is now held by Ugas. The 42-year-old is on a three-fight win streak. Fighting since 1995, Pacquaio has held gold at lightweight, featherweight, bantamweight, and flyweight.

A bronze medalist in the 2008 Olympics, Ugas has been fighting professionally since 2010. He first fought for gold in 2019, losing to Shawn Porter for the WBC Welterweight Title. He has since gone on a three-fight win streak, beating Omar Figueroa Jr., Mike Dallas Jr., and Abel Ramos. The Ramos win in September 2020 was for the WBA (Regular) Welterweight Title.
