Manny Pacquiao To Box RIZIN Featherweight Champ Chihiro Suzuki In A July Exhibition

Manny Pacquiao will box RIZIN Featherweight Champion Chihiro Suzuki in a three-round exhibition in Japan at Super RIZIN 3 on July 28.

RIZN made the announcement at their RIZIN 47 show in Tokyo on July 9. The “special standing bout rules” will take place at 150 pounds under three, three-minute rounds. Pacquiao’s last pro fight was a 2021 defeat to Yordenis Ugas. However, he did box and beat DK Yoo in an exhibition via a unanimous decision in December 2022.

He is also being linked with a pro-fight return against Mario Barrios for a potential WBC Welterweight Title clash. Suzuki is undefeated in his last nine fights in RIZIN with eight wins and one no-contest. He did lose to Kleber Koike, but it was turned into a no-contest after the Brazilian missed weight. Suzuki will face Takanori Gomi in a boxing bout on June 23 before he takes on Pacquiao.
