Manny Pacquiao has won his court battle against Audie Attar and Paradigm Sports Management.
According to reports, Pacquiao signed with Paradigm over a possible Mikey Garcia fight in 2020. However, Pacquiao chose to work with TGB Promotions and signed on to fight Errol Spence Jr. The Spence fight never happened as Manny boxed Yordenis Ugas. A lawsuit was then filed and ruled in favor of Paradigm Sports as they claimed they had an exclusive deal to negotiate his fights. Manny was first expected to pay over $8 million for the breach of contract. It was then changed to $5.1 million.
“We are elated to learn of the jury’s ruling in Paradigm’s favor in our suit against Manny Pacquiao. The jury plainly found that Pacquiao testified falsely in denying Paradigm’s claims against him, and his excuses for his conduct proves our case that a breach of contract was committed,” Audie Attar, Paradigm Sports CEO
But Paradigm did not have the proper license in California to act as a manager, so the contract is null. The verdict has been overturned, giving Manny the win.
