Manny Pacquiao’s Second Son Wins Boxing Debut
Despite his wishes, another one of Manny Pacquiao’s children just made their amateur debut in boxing.
Michael Pacquiao won his first fight via points last week at BF Parañaque Phase 1 Gymnasium.
The 20-year-old bested his opponent, Nathaniel Ruiz, and even overcame a bloody nose in the first round. The younger Pacquiao picked up the pace in the next few rounds and had done enough for the win.
Michael is the second son of the legendary eight-division world champion to compete in a boxing match.
Manny Pacquiao Jr., better known as Jimuel, made his amateur debut in March, which he won as well. He is already scheduled for his next fight.
But for Michael, he said he doesn’t plan on taking the sport seriously and wants to focus on his music instead.
Jimuel, on the other hand, seems to have different intentions.
Pacquiao had said – before he retired – that he hopes that none of his children gets into boxing.
Pacquiao is scheduled for an exhibition fight in December against MMA and YouTuber DK Yoo.
