Marc Diakiese Thanks Those Who ‘Showed True Support’ Following First-Round Loss At UFC Vegas 42

Marc Diakiese suffered another loss.

Diakiese (14-5) lost via submission against Rafael Alves (20-10) in the first round at UFC Vegas 42. He has now lost two in a row.

“I didn’t even get to fight no apologies, I owed it to myself and nobody else. Thank you to those that showed true support,” Diakiese said.

Alves stunned Diakiese with a left hook, dropping him with a flying knee, and finished with a submission guillotine choke.

In the UFC, Diakiese fought 10 times and earned the victory in five of them.

Prior to joining the UFC, he was on a 12-fight winning streak, fighting in other MMA promotions like MMATC, CK, CSFC and BAMMA.
