Marvin Vettori, a highly ranked middleweight contender in the UFC, engaged in an unsanctioned fight despite his recent win against Roman Dolidze at UFC 286.
Vettori has established himself as one of the world’s top fighters, having held this position for several years. While his victory over Dolidze was controversial and fiercely disputed, Vettori was able to retain his status as a contender, bringing his record to 2-2 in his four most recent fights.
Just days after his participation in UFC 286, Marvin Vettori became involved in another altercation. However, instead of facing another UFC fighter, he took part in a brawl between his friend, rapper Tony Effe, and Ion, a boxer and rapper.
Footage of the incident has been circulating on Twitter, depicting the two Italian rappers fighting during a large brawl at a DAZN Boxing event that was held in Milan, Italy. Vettori then intervenes to assist Effe, striking Ion twice in the head and causing him to fall to the ground.
Last night during a DAZN Boxing event in Milan, Italy, Italian rapper Tony Effe started a brawl with Italian rapper and pro boxer Ion.
Tony’s good friend and UFC middleweight Marvin Vettori stepped in and hammer punched Ion knocking him down.
Definitely not a good look for him. pic.twitter.com/CjuPb0DDx6

It should be noted that Marvin Vettori is not the first UFC fighter to be involved in a physical altercation outside the Octagon, and he was not the sole participant in the ringside brawl. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if there will be any consequences resulting from the incident, whether from the UFC, local law enforcement, or Ion.
As of now, Vettori has not commented on the situation publicly or offered a statement to explain his perspective on the events that unfolded.
