While on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Hollywood A-list actor Matt Damon recalled a story about an encounter he had with former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo.
Damon explained that he was at a backstage event at the Staples in Los Angeles and was talking to one of the lawyers for the UFC. During the conversation, Cejudo walked up to Damon, who did not realize it was the former champ. Damon admitted that while he’s an MMA fan, the casual setting, Henry’s attire, and the early hour threw him off. Damon admitted that due to Henry’s small stature, he disregarded him at first, but once he realized who Cejudo was, he reevaluated things quickly.
“This guy walks up and he’s in, like, chinos, like khaki pants, and like a blue button-up kind of business shirt with spectacles. He’s very small and I kind of don’t really regard him and I’m still hearing this story and then Patrick goes, ‘Matt, do you know Henry?’
“And I turn and it’s Henry Cejudo and I’m like, this f**king guy could wreck me right now. Absolutely f**king destroy me and he is the guy that some dummy would try to pick on, you know what I mean? He’s not carrying himself, he just is the thing,” Damon said
