Matt Frevola Vs. Roosevelt Roberts Reportedly Rebooked For September UFC Event

Two fighters who have had complicated 2020’s will look to finally face off against one another.

According to MMA Junkie, Matt Frevola and Roosevelt Roberts will square off against one another on September 12. The two were supposed to fight in April before COVID-19 postponed several UFC events.

Frevola (8-1-1) is on a two-fight win streak and is 2-1-1 in his last five fights. His last bout was a split decision win over Luis Pena in October. Before is May 30 with Frank Camacho at UFC on ESPN 11, teammate and fellow UFC fighter Billy Quarantillo tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in him and his team not taking part in fight night action. Fevola would end up testing negative.

Roberts (10-2) is just coming off of a loss back in June to Jim Miller via submission. He is 2-2 in his last four fights and has fought in two catchweight bout. After losing his undefeated streak to Vinc Pichesl, Roberts would beat Alexander Yakovlev and Brok Weaver before facing Miller.

The September event for the UFC may end up taking place inside the APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Fight Island” is also a possibility. The headliner so far for the card features Thiago Santos v. Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight bout.
