Mayra Bueno Silva Wants Julianna Pena For The Vacant UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title
Mayra Bueno Silva is targeting a shot at the vacant UFC Women’s Bantamweight title following her win over Holly Holm at UFC 77.
Silva secured a second-round win via a standing choke, as Holm tapped out in a shock victory. And in the process of doing so, Silva racked up another victory to make it four wins out of four.
In the aftermath, Silva indicated her desire to fight for the vacant title against Julianna Pena. The latter lost her last bout against Amanda Nunes via a unanimous decision.
But since Nunes has retired from the sport, a shoot out between Silva and Pena could occur.
“Raquel, no, because the UFC gave her a chance to fight with me, and she didn’t want it. So if she doesn’t want it, it’s Julianna Peña and me because I am a fan of Julianna.
“Raquel too, but she didn’t want to fight with me, so now I don’t want to fight with her. Julianna deserves it. I deserve it. UFC, let’s go,” Silva
In response, Pena indicated her desire to make the fight happen.
Did I hear someone say the name of the #peopleschamp? Perfect. Get in line. I’ll do you and Raquel in the same night. Who else wants a beating ?
