Mayweather And Bill Haney Trade Shots After Haney Vs. Garcia

Floyd Mayweather and Bill Haney traded words on social media after Devin Haney’s loss to Ryan Garcia

Haney was dropped three times on his way to a majority decision loss, giving him his first career defeat. Garcia upset the odds, damaging Haney’s brand, who was being marketed as the new Mayweather. Haney’s loss no longer leaves him undefeated. Before the fight, Garcia released a sparring tape between Gervonta Davis and Haney.

It confirmed the narrative that Davis had beaten Haney badly in sparring. Team Haney felt Mayweather had given Garcia the tape, which Mayweather denied. Bill Haney hit back, stating his son had dominated Mayweather in sparring. Bill called on Mayweather to release that sparring, which has not happened. Bill further stated that the sparring encouraged Mayweather to retire, stating it was the ‘Devin Haney’ era. Now, both men confronted each other over their supposed feud.

Mayweather: “Congratulations on you having an undefeated fighter in the gym. But I am undefeated under the lights. Is your fighter undefeated under the lights? Bill, Bill, Bill. I don’t have to have a p***ing contest with you. You know why? Bill you know I have always had respect for you. I just called to find out what your problem is with me.”

Bill Haney: “You’re a bulls***-ass n***a… F*** your 50-0, that s*** don’t mean nothing. Look at the opponents you picked, it means nothing.”
