The unkillable tale of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor rolls on, as the boxer has been more vocal than usual over the past week. After offering profane digs and videos of McGregor’s UFC loss, Mayweather gave an interesting figure a phone call on camera: McGregor’s MMA nemesis Nate Diaz.
During an Instagram Live segment, Mayweather called Diaz via video chat, offering praise to the Stocktonite that submitted Conor McGregor back in March.
Mayweather offered Diaz sponsorship help, invited him to Mayweather Gym to train, and even told Diaz that he should have been awarded the win over McGregor in their August rematch.
Then, of course, Mayweather made it clear that he wanted to get his own victory over the Irishman.
"Hey, Nate, tell me what I gotta do," Mayweather said. "Do I gotta? That boy is…aw, man. I see what you did to him, now. I’m gonna put the finishing touches on him."
It appears that Mayweather has changed his tune after saying that he was an "elephant" that would not acknowledge an "ant" like McGregor.
